Clover Blend contains proven clovers and chicory. Clovers are legumes and are very valuable to any plot as forages and as complimentary plants. Clovers are typically very palatable and have high nutritional values. Fast growing tender clover plants have very high levels of proteins and carbohydrates. Clovers are host for nitrogen fixing soil bacteria that help maintain critical nitrogen levels in the soil. Chicory is a plant used in New Zealand as a forage on commercial venison farms. Chicory has a elongated leaf and produces a tap root that allows the plant to better survive drought periods. Plant Clover Blend alone at 4 lbs per 1/2 acre or with 30-50 lbs of ryegrass or small grains at 4 lbs per acre.

New Zealand Blend
New Zealand Blend is our version of the New Zealand-grown forages popular in deer plots throughout the country. All of the crops in this mix are used on commercial venison farms in New Zealand. Forage type rapes, kale, and clover combine to make a cold tolerant, nutritious, and palatable food plot. This mix has a very high seed count--over 250,000 seeds per pound. Allowed to reseed and given adequate moisture you can expect years of Fall, Winter and Spring forage. Plant 4 lbs per 1/2 acre on a well- prepared seedbed and no deeper than 1/4 inch.

Premium Mix
Premium Blend, our premier blend, contains the perennial Prairie Brome Grass. We like Prairie Brome Grass because it is very palatable and maintains it's very high nutritional value much longer than other grasses. Time and time again our customers tell us that deer select Prairie Brome Grass from the plots to graze. We combine Prairie Brome Grass with forage rape, forage clovers and chicory for a smorgasbord of deer favorites. Allowed to reseed and with adequate moisture this blend will provide years of highly nutritious grazing. Plant no more than 1/4 inch deep in a well-prepared seedbed. Mow after seed heads mature to hasten new growth. Four pounds will plant 1/2 acre.

Quick Stand
Quick Stand Mix is blended for quick establishment of forages in varying conditions. A Quick Stand plot will provide tender vegetation early in the season and will survive the winter in most areas of the United States. Quick Stand will establish with minimum tillage but does best when planted in a well-prepared seedbed no deeper than 1/4 inch. Adequate moisture is necessary for establishment. Plant 4 lbs per 1/2 acre.

Shade Blend 4 lb

We made Shade Blend in response to the hundreds of inquiries we get every year from hunters ask about seed that will work in a shady food plot. This is a blend of Poa Trivalis, Hard Fescue, Hunter Forage Turnip, and Plantain. Poa Trivalis is a low growing, shade tolerant grass. Hard Fescue is a shade tolerant grass produced in Canada and in Oregon. Hunter Forage Turnip is a New Zealand grown forage turnip that we added to give cold season forage. Plantain is a broadleaf plant that we have used a lot of different conditions. It is a tough plant that thrives in a variety of climatic conditions. Deer tend to nip the outer leaves and eat the very center of the plant. This is great blend for food plots along field roads or in small clearings deep in the woods.

Spring & Summer Mix
Our Spring Wildlife Mix is blended to keep wildlife on your plot after the Fall & Winter plots are dormant and competition from natural browse is the greatest. This mix works for deer, turkey and wild hogs. The combination of chufas, forage peas, and lablab is an outstanding blend. Few naturally occurring or cultivated plants will provide the palatable, nutritious graze this mix will. This blend works best when planted in areas that have at least 180 frost free days and should be planted after danger of frost. Be sure not to plant to deep--no more than 1/2 inch--into a well-prepared seedbed. Apply a lower nitrogen fertilizer like 8-24-24 at about 300 lbs. per acre. Ten pounds of Spring Wildlife Mix will plant 1/4 acre.
